1. Making words up is the idea behind this thread. 2. I found WOG in a sailing article about San Francisco. 8)

Cable Sailing - the use of a cable to be hauled back into shore with can be helpful when flailing with too small a kite/humongous kite you shouldn't probably even own  or have launched in the first place in super light winds/impending fog (WOG) or suddenly shifted offshore winds or windsurfing in similar conditions without an uphaul or sufficiently large board to make it back to safety without having to swim for it, worrying your friends and onlookers with a lightning quick cell phone draw
 [smilie=bang.gif]
A safe distance to do this from is apparently a cable's length, a nautical unit of measure equal to one tenth of a nautical mile or approximately 100 fathoms

CBOTW - Cock Blocker of the Week ...'Tis the season...
With regards to CB windsurfer/kiting etiquette, one suggestion is for the windsurfer/kiter who is NOT on a wave and coming towards the beach to give way to the windsurfer/kiter who is clearly looking to jump. The windsurfer/kiter who is headed out with no option to jump should give way to the windsurfer/kiter who is looking to ride a wave. Wave rides take priority over jumping usually. Intentional and/or repeated cock blocking in the above scenarios could be dealt with by posting a photo of the week of the offending cock blocker (CBOTW) .

Deep shame and sadness will be felt by the offender, and the undesired behaviour will be trained out like a puppy repeatedly peeing on your favourite shoes.
