with my very limited exposure to the US coast I thought Rialto Beach, short distance from Forks in La Push, was phenomenal, watch out for the tides tho, I think there was proper camping somewhere along the way but I just slept in the parking lot of the beach  Wind seemed pretty decent too but I didn't have gear nor a chart or knowledge of any rips in the area :? Nobody around to ask

Also my map shows Ruby beach, beaches 6-1 (5 is missing   ) and Kalaloch lodge/rocks 40 miles south of Forks in the lee of destruction Island :P sounds promising 8)

I have also heard you can catch a thermal in very cold Crescent Lake enroute  beauty lake, may need a 7 tho
Wish less, sail more!!
