Dogs and windsurfing

Post by windaddiction »

Hey everyone! Hope you all got some wind today. I just had a question for all you dog owners out there. The other day I got a 4 year old female rottwhiler cross from the SPCA. And she is just an awesome dog, very calm and well behaved. I was just wondering how you all deal with dogs up at nitinat and down at local areas. I would really like her to be part of the windsurfing experince and have her come upto nitinat. Any suggestions comments would be great. Oh BTW her name Is Tessa.

I have a rotty and she is very friendly. She has a bit of a log fetish though and is very talkative at time which people mistake for aggressiveness. Oh well. Up at the Nat she has free range of the place and if people have a problem with her they can bring it up with her. The only time I really need to keep an eye on her is around dinner time to make sure she is not running around eating everyone's dinner. Other than that, pick up the poo and that's about it. As for the local beaches I can not leave her out while I am on the water since most people get freaked when hey see a rotty walking herself along the beach. As for other dogs, well they'll figure it out.
The most important part is pick up the poo and no one really cares the rest of the time what you and your dog are doing. I hope you get years of pleasure from her and give her all the love she deserves as they tend to give us more than we deserve.

 Try to teach you dog to stay away from kites & offer to repair any damage caused by your dog!! Enjoy your new buddy! Well trained Dogs (and owners) mean they can stay leash free!!!
Thermals are good.
