Articulation Pain/ Water/Humidity related?

Post by Teabag »

Does anyone ever had very painful knee or elbows when they are in the water (especially cold water), or when it's rainy and humid outside?

I had to come out of the water today because it was getting bad, I am not sure if I buy a dry suit it will go away, since it must become very humid inside the drysuit?

I noticed that pain earlier this year with the home flood, long beach in february and rain outside. I am looking on the arthrtis website but there is nothing realted with pain and humidity or cold water.

If anyone know what is making this or experienced it themself please let me know. Now going back to the lake for a second try...

Thanks

Hmmm, you are a newB right? Are you sure it doesn't have anything with stressing your body with unusual bangs and twists? Are you wearing a full wetsuit? Provided it fits well, a wetsuit basically creates a tropical water microenvironment around your skin, should only be cold during occasional flushes of new cold water (e.g., tea bagging or simple crashing).

Lots of people with arthritus (including lots of aboriginal people I know) have trouble with cold water aggravating swollen knuckles and so on, and find it hard to fish and the like. Cold water can also exacerbate Reynaud's syndrome (white finger disease)
