That almost looks like just north of the Shady rest pub in Qualicum. That's my guess!

check out the wiki on here (sailing spots), look at San parriel. killer looking wave shot, wondering if it might look like that tommorow?

another possibility is tree island infront of union bay and comox, super long spit below high tide by 5 to 3 feet. not sure how to get to it yet, zodiac?

Yeah, Tree Island (aka Sandy Island) is about 15 minutes by zodiac from union bay or a half hour from comox. That is by FAR my favorite beach/place on the BC coast. Never been out there in a storm though, just nice sunny days. BEAUTIFUL!

I can see it from my house, looks like good rollers on the outside. just wondering if they break on the sand bar? Too far to look with binoculars, need telescope.

I'm pretty sure that

is Centennial Beach on Boundary Bay looking south at Pt Roberts. If it's not Centennial then it is the identical twin bother!

The beach at centennial is much more sandy, and the tower that marks the border, as well as the marker a few hundred yards out, is missing.

I vote Q as well. Or somewhere around dem parts.

yup, end of Kincade Rd. Must have been a monstrous SE and I guess the waves last for an hour after the wind.

b/w kus and mattdog i'm thinking you guys know your spots!!..thats all i'm saying -thats because i took the photo and guys were in the water with me

i was out for 4hrs..wind turned westly which you can see, over head waves were had.. alot of paddling but for 30mins fro nanaimo in the vehicle it was worth it..i'm thinking columbia the day before hand would have been good..i'm sure you can check out the archives to determine how windy it was.

I'd guess Nile Creek. Texada top right, Hornby top left.

Comox bay on the flood in 60+ kmh wind. the water is shallow and push's breakers for quite some distance.
