No Wind Solution

This did not last long and was extremely tiring. Might work better with a windsurfer, much lighter sailing rig.

I dunno, Nanmoo, a windsurfer in no wind wouldn't pull either!

Gives an appreciation for Lynn and Larry Pardy, Pender Island, who in the 70s and 80s circumnavigated the globe twice in a boat not much larger (but a lot heavier!) than yours with no engine except a sculling oar for harbours and tight spots. Mind you, they got an engine when they went for a larger boat for the 3rd and subsequent circumnavs.

me thinks he meant pulling a windsurfer dead in the water,

u might do better timing the tidal current, Moo, but it looks like a good workout for sure, burly man 8)

Really :?: Even with smilies, the sarcasm of intentional misunderstanding are lost to many on the net :!:

Kus is correct, I meant pulling a windsurfer vs. a sailboat; much lighter.

I think the tide was pretty slack at the time, I was making 0.5-1 knot with the jib goosewinged out using the spinnaker pole.
