Hey fellow wind-lovers, I bought a 99' starboard go yesterday and then prompty went out and bought a mast base from Bosun's(Thanx for the info Paul) and now I'm having trouble connecting the two. The screw length doesn't seem long enough to have the nut make it down far enough to make it in the track even if I loosen it as far as it goes until just before it falls of...??
Anyone have any idea's.....??
ps. I'm sooooo pumped to get out on my new board but cannot until I figure out my mast base dilemma!agghhh!!

hey bobson,
i don't know what to tell you, except maybe exchange the base for a diff brand ... paul betts shouldn't have sold you something that wouldn't work with the board you have. you should probably get a hold of him.
it must be frustrating to have a new board and unable to ride it .
i have a bunch of old bases, so if you're out in these parts over this weekend you're welcome to try and use any of them.
later!

Hey WD, I was planning on a trip out there around Noon. If you can email me your cell/home phone# and if I cannot get hold of you maybe I'll see you at Gordons...??
I appreciate the offer of the bases. I'd like to try a couple different ones to see what is going on. Maybe it's just something I'm doing wrong.
ps. Paul is and always is fantastic with giving me info on what to do,use, try.

Hey Wind Dummy Dude, I appreciate you trading me nuts for one that works with my board.
I guess all the EVA soft decking adds too much height for the regular nut. I had a blast on my new GO at Gordon's on Sunday. 12 - 15 knots with times at 18 and lots of planning but no damn water starts...close a couple of times but couldn't quite make it that last little bit. Need more wind!!! Went out at Island View on Monday just for some fun without wetsuit or booties...6-10 knots and very warm! That new board was worth every penny!!
ps. Hey Roz, it was nice to see YOU and Little J and WD all enjoying the wind!
