A SCA remains in effect for high seas through Thursday evening for the outer coastal waters. Otherwise, high pressure will maintain calmer marine conditions through Friday. Then, a frontal system will move over the waters late Friday night into the weekend, bringing small craft winds to the coastal waters, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Northern Interior waters. Seas 8 to 10 ft today, decreasing to 6 to 8 ft tonight through Friday. Seas will build to 10-14 ft Friday night through the weekend as an active weather pattern is favored into next week.     The anemometer at Sheringham is being removed by February 1. No new location confirmed but they are exploring options. Apparently the society that owns the lighthouse required it's removal.

      “Ballenas Island weather station is an automatic station, and its electrical power is provided by solar panels.  These panels are the property of the Canadian Coast Guard and they are investigating this issue.  Unfortunately, we don't have any estimate when the station will be back online”  :blink:
