Beach disaster! Here's a kook tip for you kids - so pumped up my wings in prep for a session and had my 5.3 sitting on top of the 3.6. I'm standing around chatting and waiting for about 20 minutes when there's a big BOOM... my 5.3 strut seams have burst wide open and the bladder is expanding out like a red snapper up from the depths! Wings are pumped to spec, temperature was not excessively hot, but the strut and leading edge are black, so obvious expansion and excessive pressure resulted in seam failures. Lesson learned - even in moderate heat and sun if you're going to leave your wing lying around inflated you should deflate or let some pressure out.

Despite that managed to make the 3.6 work in fairly light wind, 2.5 hrs, 23 kms, 32 km/hr top speed. 110 turns, practicing starboard jibes flying out toeside the heelside turn back. Got that all sussed now. Also close to getting some port heel tacks, Hope to have those today. Loving the Nitinaht training ground!
