I felt sorry for my Slingshot Celero for sitting in a bag all the time so I took it out today. I mostly leave it at home because it is not great with chop and there was plenty of that today. Nonetheless, I enjoyed riding it as it is quick and snaky, if a little harsh on the legs in the chop. I decided to go early and was rewarded with a fantastic session. Only CB was on the water when I got there and when I was heading out, he was heading in. I got a launch from Dave C. who was at clover for a photo session for a vehicle he is selling. So like yesterday, I had the whole bay between Clover and Finlayson all to myself with the exception of a short visit by a winger who came from Ross Bay for a short while. The wind really picked up during my session and I had to put on half de-power at one point. There was some nice swell as the wind picked up and I was glad that the water was again clear of flotsam. I tried a couple tacks but had no luck today. Near the end of my session, I could see some kites setting up at Cook. I came in, put on full de-power, and carefully made my way up to the grass. Thanks Marcelo for the land and I then launched and assisted him to the leeward boat ramp. Fantastic day with the wind not really conforming with the forecast. It was stronger than expected (not unusual for the springtime) and the just completely shut off this afternoon (b/c of the rain clouds I guess). Awesome to get two back to back days on the water. Grateful!!!
