New colours. There were some colours I hadn't seen before in the forecasts. Was thinking the wind was going to blow 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Van was loaded the night before but I was thinking there was no hurry to hit the insanity of the peak wind. Tsawwassen had other ideas and was texting for company when he arrived solo at Centennial. I arrived about 9:30 am to find craxy wind and a few lit 3.4s on the water! Nice to see a few that hadn't been out in a while! Rigged 79 and full flat 3.8 and picked my moments (lulls) to dance with the storm. Fun when I was out but too much for my gear most of the time. Was able to sail, jump, ride, and gybe, but also had way too much juice at times and got flattened like a bug on fly swatter a few times too! Stayed fairly close to shore not to risk the switch and was treated to outside conditions on the inside! Saw Jens bring a push loop rotation in nose first and Daryl pop a nice air inbound on port! Lots of energy in the air today! Likely played it a little too safe today and only sailed a touch more than Johnny and Brad, but still got to enjoy the view for the water!
