How old are you willing to go? I have a couple 1 piece 430 carbon masts in Victoria!

I use the https://waterspeedapp.com/ app on either my watch or phone. It has lots of water sport features built-in and can export a gpx for import to bwd. I pay $17 a year for it. The export feature is a paid feature. Full guide is here: https://windisgood.com/forums/topic/10245.html

Re: Wing Rescue
The last wing I rescued had the leash attached to the wing using a lark's head knot. The lark's head must have worked loose because the leash isn't under constant tension. Don't trust the lark!

For axis, I just order direct from their website. It is shipped from San Fran. Then I use seawings from Blaine.

Bring a backup light/battery, and maybe a strobe in case a rescue is needed!

Re: GPS Tracks
Hey Tsawwassen,
I use the stock band and wear it under my wetsuit mostly.
Works ok underneath. Heartrate works better that way too. Probably need to turn off fall protection!! Haven't tried the protective energy shield feature yet. Maybe Sunday?

Hey Dave,
I have 2 pair of new clips that I ordered for my x6's that don't fit if you still need them.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: GPS Tracking how to's
I just pause and upload a day's worth. Less juggling of gpx files! Also the track is matched to a log by date but not time of day, so multiple logs and tracks on the same day is a bit more work to match up the sailing log IDs. Can be done, but more juggling!

Best chance of success is online - mac Kites or Silent Sports or North Shore Boards - maybe dirty mermaid or zen sports? Maybe Gyro boards in cadboro bay?

Re: Location advice for East coast of Island
Hey windeeee,
Piper's, San Pareil are good spots to checkout. Details on these spots are in the spot guide under the info menu. https://windisgood.com/sailing-guide.html
Lots of island options on the "spot" map!

Mark
