Got on the water at 4:30, looked like another repeat of yesterday with peeps floating and not much winging. Had about 1/2hr of flying, watched everyone dwindle and go to the beach, saw Shaggy make it in on the fly mostly but got greedy, went for one more reach, came off the foil on the turn and never got going again. Sat for a while out off downwind of the point, then made the looong paddle back in. Nothing like matching your fly time with a post session swim back to shore!

I used the bigger board at the start of the day and went way upwind through a hundred? fishing boats. I think there must have been an event, else it is one heck of a morning fishing spot. Saw Bobson around noon and just stayed on the big board for the rest of the day...that just kept on going.

Arrived to wind of 15kts at Noon at China Creek. Set up camp and said Hi to Slaker! Got on the water at 1:30pm and got in 80kms in mostly flat water. Some fun speed runs. The Slake did 200+ kms today making me look like a wimp. He is really dialed in on his wing! I'm hoping to get a full day of Winging in tomorrow. Still blowing as I go to bed at 10pm.

Story of my life lately is "Too busy to sail." Things finally lined up for me to get on the water. Of course the wind backed off as soon as I got out there. Sailed for a half hour and managed a few planing runs. Only windy next to the beach and nothing out in the strait. Decided to call it or at least take a break. Arrived at Clover and waited around for a bit, Brett rocked up and after a quick chat the wind came up. Rigged the 10m Ultra and head out. A decent session and was overpowered for most of it, but the PTM 730 foil was able to hold the power pretty good. Tons of Kelp around.

Risked taking the day off work and it paid off bigtime. It Absolutely nuked and I was kicking my self for not bringing the 99L. Got some unintentional airtime when it really cranked and the swell picked up. 4.2 felt way to big still. Lesson learned today: always bring 2 boards lol. Lots of friendly faces and windsurfers on the water. Hopefully back before camping with the fam early July.

First experience at China Creek. It was nice, and campground has cell service, warm showers, flush toilets, and paved all the way. Was windy enough for smaller board but stayed out a wee bit too long and ended up down near the logs north of the beach. Had to prone paddle back, which was a nice workout to end the session.

Looked like it might be starting to blow so went for a look. Arrived to a few peeps floating but couldn't resist and thought I'd join them to test out the new Gong Neutra Team Edition 5.5m wing. Caught a puff and managed about 4 reaches and then it totally died. Sat floating off Clover in hopes it would come back and after about 10 minutes it was enough to go again. Took a bit to get used to the boom (have hard handles on the Duotone Unit wings), but it's very minimal, small diameter and feels good. The win ... (more)

Light but doable when I arrived. Chatted and waffled till everyone came in and it glass off. Waked up to the point and swam out. Only a few knots with nice waves. Got up a few times then it died. Swam in against the current to the point. Skunkage. Wind gods owe me tomorrow. Got to touch ULR's beauty new wing.

Great session. In the beginning, the 7m would have been a better choice, but it did waken in the evening. At times gusty. Improving my tow side kiting, to port going well, still weak going to starboard. Had some great carving turns. We will see what tomorrow brings, maybe another epic day.

Launched, foiled for a minute or so, and then the wind completely died. Bobbed for 15 min, then the wind came back, foiled for 5 min, then it died again and I paddled in. I had 6pm dinner so I had to go -- as I was packing up the wind seemed to be improving. Hopefully just a warm up for tomorrow.

The early shift were pretty well all slogging back in when I got there. I still geared up just in case the wind returned, and it did! I got nearly an hour of play in the small swell. I got kelped a couple of times and foliage is noticeably more abundant. Fun trying to follow Idefix and GregCan. ULR was killing it on his neon green, high tech wing.
