First time this year on the directional board. Overall it went well, except the wind was shutting down and getting light. Love that board, will be riding more often. Should have used my 13m kite.
The reason why the wind shut down early, in my opinion, the temperature gradient was not as big as forecasted.

Epic day in Squamish! Launch at 130 and after an hour was overpowered on the 5m. Quick downsize to the 4m and plenty of power. Tried the boom for the first time. A little tweeking required, but better control than the soft handles during transitions. Big crew of dozens.

Nice evening session. Used the 13m because I was concerned that the wind would die, however it kept blowing. The 13m worked just fine. Went up wind to that bay and I think I did see the stump up there.
Spent a bit of time practicing my tow side riding. Going to port side went very well, not so good on my starboard side. Time to take the surfboard out.

Groundhog Day, in a good way. Fantastic conditions at the Bay again. Started with my 6m with the lower strength winds. Built up in strength and became gusty. Minimal kelp, yet I still managed to get taken down a couple of times. Took a brew break with Idefix and switched to 5m for the stronger winds. Great fun trying to chase Idefix and GregCan in the swells. Still lots to learn in how to play in the swells. Very summery. Sadly, my lack of attention ended up in a couple nice rips in my 5m. My bad.

Another fantastic Ross Bay day. Started on the DW board and 4.0 then switched to the 3.0. Gusty with some good swells, and not much kelp! Riding without boots is a game changer way more control, and the ability to make (micro) foot adjustments. Thinking about trying footstraps again. Grateful for the bay.

Great session. On my 5.5m the whole time, and only overpowered towards the last 30 min but too lazy to switch to my 4m. Lots of fun passes with GregCan, Dan and Ang. Practiced gybes a bunch with some progress made. Stoked to run into the LEGEND Gdawg on the beach, whom I have known since I was just a wee Pope. I remember watching him windsurfing in the 80s/90s (!) with wonder and amazement. Improved my speeds a bit as I attempt to climb out of the bottom rungs of the BWD leaderboard!

Well, THAT was interesting!
Moderate NW, so not able to do home beach, so decided to try a new ( to me) spot - Singing Sands.
Actually nice spot, with a slightly cross swell launch area - the main problem, as i happened to discover, is the ferry actually has to do a dogleg right near the beach- and i realized this just i dropped off the foil when the wind died:-( and saw said ferry approaching- luckily though, with a bit of vigorous pumping, was well clear by the time it arrived.

After work RB wing session. Good to see a super keen Pope who was leaving as I was arriving. Big wind shadow so I went out on 5.0 but immediately came in for 4.0. Had a great time riding swells, mostly on port tack with some fun switch riding and back again. Much more success gybing today than any day so far. Probably made 5 regular foot, 1 goofy including one foiling. Shoulders and hands are sore.

Mellow conditions and a pretty mellow session. Somehow re-injured my ribs last session so tried to take it easy. Harness squishing them not helping...
Counted something like 16 wings out at one point when I was de-rigging!. Kelp starting to pop up in more places.

Got on the water about 12:30ish, already quite a few wingers and windfoils. Sunny, fun, weekend weather. About 30ish wingers on the water at one point with a swack of gear on the beach! All the usual participants with the exception of the website host and wingDr (what did they know?). Had a couple looong swell rides from point to corner! A grand day out followed by exotic Italian apres surf beers on the beach, thanks Tweez!

Had a nice short session on the 8m until a rain squall moved through and the wind really picked up. Switched to the 5.5m just as the wind died. Tried the 8m again, but not enough wind for me to get going.
