Started on the 4.2 wing and put together a good 1/2 hour without crashing. Wind started to lighten up at about an hour so took a break and grabbed the 6m. Wing. Was the right chaice but a 5m would have been nice.

Another amazing day. Just refining toe side rides through swell. Patchy conditions but enough to stay interested. A few good rollers. Lot's of riders! Had to stay focused on my surroundings. Helped a buddy test an MFC foil rig. Heel side tack is the next challenge. Good times all around. Feeling grateful.

So many wings, yet there was still so much room for play. Great vibe in the sets - very unlike the territorial shite of a typical surfing set. Session 1 was better powered and my 5m was the right tool. Swell was med sized but still fun. Session 2 needed my 6m as the winds reduced. Still good if not a bit gusty. I practiced many jibes in the tougher swells to get used to that level of turbulence. Kinda fun! I made it off before the winds shut down and enjoyed some of Danno's bevy generosity.

Had Nitinaht booked but it wasn't looking good so decided to take my buddy who is visiting from Vancouver down to Ross Bay. First there just before 9 with good breeze and sunny skies we quickly finished our breakfast and rigged up. Had the first half hour to ourselves before Bobson and other's started to show up, eventually the waves got a bit better and it got busy. Had some fun runs down the bay. Good to see everyone and nice to have a day when I had no where else to be.

What a great day! Sun and wind. Loads of wingers and three windsurfers and loads of women out foiling. Richard M lent me his KT ginxu Dragonfly to try. I loved it! Less wobble than I expected and soooo smmmmooooth acceleration and liftoff. Tempted to try and gybe it but dropped in and restarted to come back. Sore neck from a little whiplash and a sore knee and sore hands from the handles on a long session. More tomorrow please!

Hoped for enough wind to use 10m and twin tip but was underpowered so parked it all and changed to 8m and foil. Much better. Lots of stuff in the water to collect with a foil including giant jelly fish. Unbelievable number of wingers in Ross Bay-like a swarm of mosquitoes. Hope everyone was able to find some space.

Fantastic Saturday RB session in the sunshine. First 20km+ session! The wind was a little light but pretty steady. First 30 min on my 4m then switched to my 5.5m. Added a few more (semi) successful foiling gybes to my resume. I'm trying to go into my gybes with more confidence -- like it ain't no thang -- and that seems to be helping a bit. By the time I wrapped up there was a big crowd and great vibe on the beach.

Great big session in medium to good wind. Nice waves coming in at mile 0. Fought the current for a bit and won. Loads of cruise ship people watching, made it more fun.
Following day I was going to launch, but ended up checking on a kite in obvious distress waaaaaay out in the strait, which turned out to be a jetski assisted kite lesson ('!) in the worst spot i can think of. Lots of backlash online about it already, hopefully this practice doesn't continue.

Great timing with the favourable tide and wind. Launch 1215 into solid wind. Salome through the weeds and stay out past the 1km marker to avoid the rest. Only had to clear my foil twice. Sun gave way to clouds and the wind backed after a little more than two hours.

Just a quick hour session. Went with 6m based on lighter winds and reports form foilers coming off the water. The winds soon increased and I was occasionally OP'd. I prefer that anyways and it made for a fun carve and swell session with Danno, Matt, Alain, Greg, and the elite riders. So many flyers of all types. My last forays into CLover found me surrounded by kiters. I felt very inadequate. Fantastic warm day on the water and RB felt very much like a wind sport destination spot in my backyard.

Late afternoon after work. Lovely steady wind for the first 45 then it got lighter then nearly disappeared. One good flagged out ride. Splatted every single gybe but mostly pointed in the new direction and a few with swell assist got the wing around and some seconds of toe side riding on the new tack. So very slow progress. It started light mid-afternoon and picked up nicely for the late shift. I made good use of my windows with everybody working the middle sets. The kite fleet owned the point today. Lots of colours on the bay : ))

Seems we showed up for the low point in the evening. Soon after hitting the water the wind dropped and I struggled to hold my ground. Thankfully, it picked up for the end of my session and I could do a little more than mow the lawn. The swell was great and had me wishing I brought a surfboard. Despite the marginal wind, another beautiful day to be on the water.

Went out with nominal wind conditions. Wierd swell/tide thing going on. Slow leak in bladder so went in to fix and returned to even less wind. Nostalgia took me so decided to really bomb it and do the walk of shame for the first time in a long time. Was wondering if this was my day and decided to go out a third time and I am so glad I did. Took my old Duke out for a spin and was reminded that it is a very good kitesurf board for the conditions at Clover. Somewhat heavier and slower turning than my new one, the weight helps it push through chop without transferring a lot of kinetic energy into my legs. It is heavy and rides smoothly because of it. Started out pretty light, made my way up to the point and had some good runs with Danno .. some decent swell from the SW wind, a little kelpy though, had a few smack downs. Wind picked up and had some speed runs right off the launch with some more good swells, made a bunch of toe side tacks. Good times!
