Went through all kinds of gear today. Started out with the 7.5 on the 120L, didn't want to wait for it to ramp up. When it did, it came up fast. Soon as I had the 5.7 rigged, it was way to overpowered for what was out there. Rigged the 5.0, rode that for a bit on the 99 and hit a massive ramp unintentionally and put a hole right through the lower part of the sail. Great to be back at RB. Havent wung for almost two weeks which is a while for me. Was busy with work all day, so it was great to see some wind, sunshine, and lots of people out shredding! The OR 5m was feeling like it might be entering its final days - I would say 100 plus sessions on it tho, maybe more - so it doesnt owe me a thing. Easy conditions made for a fun end to BC day. Looked like it was coming up for the evening session too!

I saw the wind come up earlier than forecast and headed down. I was the only kiter but there was a band of hostile looking locals (seagulls) resting where I usually setup. On the water at 11 in 15-20,on my 4.5m headed up the inlet to the narrows where the wind turns off so headed back. Make it an hour then it ramped up to 25-30 so I put on my 3.9m Sailworks Flyer super flat. Still over powered but manageable. Hardly anyone out. Maybe 5 Wings and 5 kites and me. Lots of boat traffic as people still catching their limit. Ok, 3.5 hours to get my100kms today on the Windfoil, Yesterday was 5 hours and 15 mins to get my 100kms on the Wing. This session involved two adventures. First on the 4m was all about speed. Wind went from cranking to nuking. With 4m, I tried to push for highest down wave speeds I could get out of this gear. Wipe outs were epic. Everything still intact. 3m was inevitable. Swell was also awesome. Second session involved pure 3m upwinding to launch site for Sam to DW with a paddle. Woke up to low cloud and cool temps. Egg on a burger for breaky. On the water at 11:30am with the 6.0m in 12-15kts which last 40 mins, then wind ramped up to 20kts for pumped up my new ish 4.0m. Compared to the 6.0m it feels so tiny and easy to hang on to. Without a harness the 6.0m is a bit of work!! Did 90 min long sessions and came in to rest the hand, eat, drink and apply sunscreen. 3/2 no sleeve all day. Strong and steady. Steady, solid wind at Sp'akw'us Feather Park. Northbound traffic delays started at Loins Bay and added about an hour to the trip up (just enough time for the tide to come up and fill the river with chop. Wind was stronger than I was expecting and had to rig the 5.3 full flat to keep it working. The 4.5/92 would have likely been a better choice (if I hadn't left the 92 at home). Lots of long weekend boat traffic kept you on your toes. Fun afternoon in the sun!

Took the omen 60l out for a rip. No brainer. Easy transition from 72l. This is a surf board. Stuck to a larger wing. Excellent Session. Second session ever at Nimpkish. Heaven. Wind is picking up and I am learning so much.

Sorry about the log bomb in advance. First of three days at Nimpkish. Mind blown. So good. First day also on new KT Dragonfly DW board. Easy. No stress transtioning at all. Doesn't want to launch across a wave but holy s*%t, does it like to point downwind and catch waves. That's a first. Very grateful. Not crazy wind. Lot's of great advice from the amazing community that I got to spend three days with up there. Very grateful

The Popers charismatic OSR made me a believer and I followed his lead. Similar to yesterday with poor winds in the bay and the wind line out by CLover. My big gear got me up and was able to play in the turbulent, med sized swells out by the point. I was able to witness Shaggy's and GregCan's flag out skill while I carved well powered around the waves and marvelled at their swell play. I started to miss jibes signalling a drop in winds. I made it back in before full lull for bevys with Greg and Shag.

First I tried with the 10m, that was a no go. Way too much wind for the 10m. So, geared down to my 7m. That went much better. I had tow sessions, each about 1 hour long. On my last session I fell over the nose of the board and ripped my front binding out. Kited for a bit without the front binding, I guess it can be done' :)

Crowded out The Pope so he ended his session as I started. Grandson day with Oliver drifting down the bay and me either helping with the WoSh or sailing the board upwind. Some
Foiling runs for me but so great to get the grandson doing it. He was getting on his feet even on the dragonfly but settled right into the Takuma. Was going upwind slogging at end and I think he would have got foiling if the wind had strengthened. He said 'tons of fun' about 8 times later. :)

Arrived at 4pm, as it took an hour to get from Zcostco to Goldstream. Ridiculous! Got on the water almost right away. A bit Gusty but sunny and warm water. A little over powered on my 4.5m but too lazy to rig the 3.9m. Burger and red wine for dinner. Best site in the whole place. still blowing at 8:30pm. 4-cast looks good. I got a 4m Wing so hoping to get lots of Wing time this week. Oh ya, choco-mint Oreos for dessert!! Just a bit lonely.
