Started out just before noon, bit light and took 20mins to get to the wind before take off. Had the whole place to myself for the first hour riding some small waves and practicing heelside tacks, so close on a few. I was overheating is just board shorts and UV shirt so in for some water as it picked up. Second session sailed way up wind and hooked into a 65' powerboat wake doing about 12 knots for the whole way downwind. Longest flagged out ride I have had by far, had to get off as my arm was getting tire ... (more)

13 days in a row of wind foiling and my hands are feeling it.....like raw meat :) Pipes are feeling strong!
Nailed 80% of my jibes today. Loving my 'new to me' windsurf foil board that we picked up at Winddance in Hood River end of May/24. Today was my fifth session on it (North Pacific board) and our daytrip to Nitinat last Sunday really helped me dial in riding this board. It's a bit shorter than my Starboard Supercruiser, but, easier for me to handle carrying to the beach alone. I am addicted to the foi ... (more)

Light but fun. South wind so one tack from Harling to Finlayson. Still kelpy. Went over the handle bars and put the kite down. Lots of current pushing me into the kite so needed some time and all the tricks to get it back up. Lost my prized sun hat in the process. Hope someone finds it'.

The early birds got the worm'
Good breeze at Turkey Pt felt like a repeat of yesterday. Happy to send a 'Game On' OSR to the OGs. Got on it early with Gee. Onshore wind produced the classic RB swell lines. Wind was a bit up and down but the swells kept on rolling in. Some skating required at times to stay on foil but plenty of wave energy to save the jibes. All was good till BWD and Windjunky arrived to turn the fan off.
Good times:)

Two session / late start day. 3.5 m XPS to start, went up the lake toward some kiters but then it was calm just south of the sawmill. Floated around for 10 min to grab a gust to head back. Second later session on 5 m trying downwind 360 turns with backwind sailing. Only get it some of the time and only attempting riding 'regular', rather than 'goofy'. It is a fun little transition. The flat water at CC is good for practicing new transitions.

On the water at 2pm but wind didn't freshen up till 2:45. Floatie McRoberts and 6.0M wasn't enough till close to 3pm nor was it for the evening slog. Excepting from 3 - 5pm there was less wind than Wed or Thursday. Kite school was busy and four kiters did a downwinder from Franklin Crk and they had fun. There's a good vibe in general here with a nice mix of sailors, fisherman, families, seniors and kids.

Was concerned that the wind may die, used the 13m Juice. Should have used the 12m from the school. Great session, went upwind to the bay, then carved down wind with heel to toe jibs, riding toe side then carving toe to heel. Next, do the same with the surf board.
I am a bit ticked, the watch did not record my session' this is now th3e third time' Not sure what the issue is.

First time out in about a month. Felt so good to be on the water and I love how easy a dw board makes my foiling. Lots of kelp which seamed to get worse as the session went on. Almost completely blocking the west end of the bay. Made me word on more turns and shorter runs.

Got the best of light, lumpy conditions. 6m was OPd at times, but mostly just right for my developing skills. The swells seemed more disjointed than usual, but that could just be my mediocre skills talking. Still lots of fun and there was wind all the way into the bay. Got caught in a couple of kelp takedowns. But less kelpy than usual. Cruisy day, as WindJunky stated. Got in a second short session. Post-foil beers w Idefix was very, very nice. No GPS today, it went squirrely and turned itself off after on ... (more)

Tough day at the office. Rigged what I thought would be a bit too much sail but by the time I got out it was barely enough. Not enough wind to water start so lots of challenging uphauling. Kept picking up weeds on every reach which bogged me down and pissed me off. Foil gladiator action later on when I was packing up.

Nice warm cruisy session with a few dips in the wind and a little to much junk in the water. Started on smaller foil quickly went back for bigger foil then wind came up so back to the smaller foil half hour later wind died lots of schlogging and waiting for a puff or wave to take off on.

Less wind than Wednesday but still overpowering on a 6.0. Finally started to enjoy slashing and turns in the waves. Yeah
Sunset sail was gusty but the big find was a very nice 6lb Sockey that the Eagle fishing near by did not see. I still can't belirve that. Nice to meet slake who's having fun winging on his smaller size wings.

It was such a pleasant evening, everyone happy, smiling, the odd curse at the kelp... and then out of the Sun's blindspot attacked from on high! Shaggy and I on parallel outbound reaches with me being downwind directly below him, a quick cutback turn by Shaggy and that was it, we clashed foil masts! Minor damage to his carbon baby's leading edge, my brutishly tough alu mast came out unblemished. A reminder for all to look before course changes, and for downwind riders to not linger in the upwind riders blin ... (more)

Looked promising for a light wind session so I pumped the 14.5m Flite and reached for my "non-lethal foil alternative" (tm) (aka Tiki). I self launched and it felt good but it did feel like maybe too much kite. Nontheless, I grabbed the Tiki and went off the windward side and for sure I probably could have been on a 12m but the Flite is well behaved and so with 3/4 depower I headed out. I had a nice 25 minutes of cruising on the Tiki and was super well supported on the big kite for tack turns, ... (more)

Logging this only because I got a short DW foil or two in during flatware paddle up practice. Wind picked up after a couple of paddle ups so took advantage of the small waves off clover and popped up for a couple short DW runs. The 1675 is not very glidey but man does it launch early! Some pieces of the DW puzzle are finally starting to come. Would love to get some real ones in (2km+). Left for a BBQ just as the wind started looking decent for winging. BBQ was very goooooood.

Started on the 4.0 and then switched to the 5.0. Who's next vs ULR? I'd like to see a little Alu vs. Alu. Had some good evening runs with (the other) Dog, who was being a Dog and ripp'in it up,
