Punta San Carlos September 2024 ?
Hi All,
I have exchanged a few emails in June 2024 with Bill, a guy that has camped on the point, San Carlos, every fall of every year since 2004. I met him in fall 2016 (huge trailer, had been using an F350, red, back in 2016).
Solo Sports is shut down. $5 USD is collected per night from campers (not sure if it is per vehicle, person, or otherwise). Garbage is still collected! Outhouses... likely not a chance, stock up!
There are guards at the entrance to the fishing village (yes, organized crime...). Bill says the point itself has so far been fine, and does still get busy on weekends with San Diego-ians when there is swell coming in.
Long drive.
Anyone interested in convoying from BC down and back, or at minimum while in Mexico (can go from the USA border to San Carlos relatively easily in daylight), either September or maybe October, 2024?
