New live webcams: how to
The new webcams stream live to youtube.
Make sure to select the highest quality 720p or 1080p from the youtube settings (bottom right of the image).
Check the time stamp to make sure it's LIVE, use the slider to rewind up to 2 hours.
Click the YouTube link to see more stored videos from previous days.
When you watch the LIVE feed you can rewind and replay up to 2 hours. After the stream ends (at 5pm for Pipers/Comox, 10pm for Salmon), the last 2 hrs of video gets processed and archived and is available to view. So by the next day you can see the previous days last 2 hours of video (3pm-5pm).
I need to change SalmonPt to stop at 5pm, since right now it archives 8pm-10pm which is a bit dark. I don't have remote access to that camera.
Make sense?
