Another beautiful day! Perfect 10m. More than 10 kites on the water when I got out. Walked up the beach to avoid the inevitable crowd around the large low tide reef and then rode up to the spiral staircase. Spent the rest of my session casually looking for kickers. Almost headed in a few times because I was getting tired, but it was hard to stop. One day I'll be kite fit... Eventually I was getting sloppy and called it. Looking forward to the summer ahead!

Arrived after the lull. Tried the harness again and had a breakthrough. Line was a bit long but felt balanced and in control till I got cocky, one handed it and ate it. Nice waves off Clover deep into the Bay. Getting better at cranking tighter turns on the 1099. Addicted to the glide. Been a while since I've been on the Spitfire. Rescued a runaway wing and met John.

Super summery session! I started off with a 4m, following the deployed wingers. But, the wind quickly dropped so I switched to 6m along with the Pope. I was occasionally OP'd, but there was no slogging! Best winds seemed to be at Clover level. Beyond that, winds reduced forcing me off foil. There was nice serviceable swell out there and I was lucky enough to catch one of my longest flagged rides ever. Occasionally gusty and holey, but that made the post-shred brew with Bobson sweeter.

Sunny, warm and consistent wind, what a fun session. Played a bit on the Ross Bay side, as the swell increased decided to check out Cooks St. The Clover Pt crossing was crazy bumpy, like a winter transatlantic crossing, I was so focused on not getting bucked off the foil, I apparently didn't notice a whale flapping its tail on the water about 100m away. Made it up to Cook St and found some more chilled out swell. A great session with lots of people out.

Mixed bag session at RB, but a gorgeous and sunny afternoon. A group of orcas swam right past Clover just a few hours earlier! When I arrived at the beach Gus said 5.5m, Lance said 4m -- both were right. Up and down winds were challenging, and the leaky strut bladder on my 5.5m made things feel a bit flopsy.
Waited out a lull with with BWD, Rupert, Gus, Rob, Danno, and Windjunky, then headed back out on the 5.5m for a bit. Post session debrief with Bobson and H-Rock!

Took the afternoon off work, good call!! Arrived to 15-20kts and met Snarfer on Goat Hill. He was all rigged up and ready to go. I wanted to get out on the new board but the SB Tuttle to Mast track adapter wasn't looking right. Headed out on the 6.2m Ensis Wing and my new board KT WingDrifter 130. I was correct, the board wouldn't leave the water as the fuse was aimed down so I was a submarine. I need either a new adapter or new Starboard mast with a top plate or a new foil. Iffy start as I watched GregCan just foiling on his downwind runs. ThePope and I joined with our big wings and happily, the winds increased and we were always up on foil and the big wings were even occasionally OP'd. Got some nice flag outs and had some fun chase the Twizz runs. Great to have the Lancer back in the swells. Sometimes gusty and holey and I found a dead zone out beyond the Clover swell section. Fun session regardless, and the sun came out and made it very summery.

Arrived at Clover to cranking wind. Rigged small with a 5m and foil and headed out. Definitely dropped after I struggled through the Ross Bay kelp and managed to get upwind to Cook St. The wind started dying about 30min into the session and had a few sketchy gybes that would have resulted in a long swim. Managed to get in and after a few mins the wind started cranking again. I gave Davey_k and Nick a wave and signalled I was heading back out. It was much better the second time around.

Saw it building and decided to give it a go. Missed the peak and ended up with marginal 10m. Maybe one day I'll learn to rig big... Came in as it dropped below functional, and then it came back 5-10 mins later. Decided against a second attempt. Beautiful day for a session however short though!

Weird wind, weird water. Gusty and unstable, super low tide with a big flood starting which made for a challenging session. Started in Ross Bay with an epic struggle through the kelp to get to clear water. The wind felt very unpredictable so went over to the west side where it was much stronger but with just as much water moving around. Fun as always.

I saw the clouds clearing and headed down for a session. It was good 12m wind when I was setting up but it backed off as I launched. It was still good enough and I headed out along the beach. Iffy conditions from the outset so it would be inappropriate to whine. Did my best to grab every puff I could. Wind in the bay created the sense of potential further out. That cost me a long paddle in. Sinkers don't easily take off 5 five knots apparently. Wind came back up for another 15 mins and then I called it a day.

Arrived to flattish water and 15-20kts. Had to park 8 spots up on Goat Hill which wasn't pleasant. Parking behind Rupp-Dogg was nice though as we had a nice chat about life while rigging. I finally got out and the wind wasn't quite as strong and the waves were much bigger. >>dislike<<. Started on my 7m, which ended up being a good choice for the first 45 min. I'm loving the feel of the MA1475 compared with my HS1850 training wheels. I switched to my 5.5 mid session, and by that point the waves off Clover were getting fun sized. Had a lot of fun playing in the waves and attempting to surf some of them on the way back in. Not much progress on gybing or toeside today -- need to work on that. Great vibe at the beach. Congrats to Tweezer on his upcoming retirement!

Well, i officially win Tuesday.
Not because I got out foiling twice ( short sessions in SW squalls), although those were fun - but because for the second time in 1.5yrs, I got to wingding with orcas :-)
Three of them, 2 adults and a juvenile- and when i came off the foil in a lull, the youngen came over for a gander - too cool. Just too bad i didn't have the camera rigged up.

Arrived to light winds, 8-12kts inside and maybe what looked like 13-15 outside. Was going to rig the 7.0m but decided on the 5.2m Sailworks Flyer as it was supposed to get a bit windier and I was feeling lazy. ha!! Left the 900cm2 front foil on, although had thoughts of changing out to the 1100cm2 but it looked like there was 12-13kts which is what I need for the 5.2m to get foiling. Actually took 3 tries over the course of the day to get foiling- first 2 were the definition of insanity- think there is enough wind ( ignoring the anemometer saying otherwise) paddle out, drift around, come in. Repeat 4hrs later.
Wind finally did come in late afternoon, and was a good steady SE for some good rides.
Might have to go back to "secret spot" though- was 2 other wingdings in my bay! The Horror!

Whoa that was unexpected awesomeness! Almost right away OP'd on the 4.7 so switched to 4.2 when it amped up some more. Found some beautiful waves deep in udderland, many green roofers and some near the point at the end. Had to call it quits before the wind did! Low tide is the new high!!
