Arrived to lots outside but not much inside almost like a RB day except for the downpouring sideways rain. It was pretty up and down with longer lulls. 15-18kts then 5 mins of less than 10kts and then it would come in again. Lots and Lots of kelp and eel grass to try and avoid. Ben (and Jerry) was working on getting used to his new board and foil and doing very well in the sketchy conditions. Multiple seal and sea lion sightings. One Sea Lion I actually had to avoid as he was super close and moving slow. I think this will be the launch spot to make the James Island rounding when possible on more of a steady SE which would leave IV as exit strategy if needed. Hoping for some clearing Westerly tomorrow. Enjoyed the pounding rain to exfoliate the Willows poo from yesterday. HA!!
