Bombo Willows pt2 was bigger than Tues. Funny how the elite riders describe foiling today as 'paradise', super fun', 'memorable'. For me it was more like 'terrifying', 'difficult', 'survival mode'. Greg and I went in with 5m as foilers were slogging on 4m wings. Then the nuke bomb went off and the 5 was way OP'd. Greg wisely came back in to go smaller. But my short time available and the torture of getting through the shorebreak just made me make do with the 5m. It was ok most of the time and made for exciting runs. It was a tougher session than Tues. Eventually, winds increased beyond my ability to luff off the power. I played jibe games close to shore and when I eventually failed, I called it a day and left the braver foilers to play in the storm bomb. Great experience, just not my fave conditions.
