I forgot that I used the 103cm foil mast today and the G800(1173cm2) foil. It took a bit of time to get used to being able to fly so high without breaching with the 103 mast. As well it is heavier than my usual 82cm mast. The length sure helped out jibing outside in the swell. No issues with kelp either. The downside is that it doesn't fit in my manvan when attached to my board. The 1173cm2 foil is a bit quicker and turny'er than the PTM926(1263cm2) but not that much different. I think that I need something a bit smaller and quicker.
Arrived to Goat Hill full so I parked with all the regular people in the skinniest parking spots ever!! Looked lighter inside but outside looked good so rigged the 4.5m and was ready to schlog to the wind. Well, that was what happened, schlogged out past Clover and caught a gust and foiled after Windjunky yelled that I needed to pump harder. Thanks Junky!! Best session that I can remember since summer, and almost felt summery. Sunny and beautiful!! Great on the outside, big slow swells, so much fun to ride down to bottom of the bay. All the regulars were here and even saw BW out there being his regular friendly self. H-Rocker doing his regular weavy drunken munkey and even Danno showed up. Too Much Fun!!!
