heatlamp needs to be standing up, won't fit in minivan, thx tho

keep chipping away at the list, cool
Pat, I don't think you want 30 people in your RV warming up hands and feet
I envisioned one big pot boiling mixed with cold water would be great to take breaks and warm up....Kus 8)

......yes, thirty people might be interesting and a little humid........have to keep all the vents open. On the other hand, we could offer hot showers to the highest bidders with all proceeds to the BWD site.

Kus, if it goes standing up my P/U should be fine - I can cross-tie it diagonally. Unless there is a closer pickup? No volunteers with one yet - Glenda, you could saw the roof off your van......

I picked up some extra cutlery, plates, cups and bowls as well as bags of not-so-healthy snacks and beverages. I will try and remember to throw my camp stove in tomorrow as well. Do we have a meeting time?

Morley, great suggestion about the van . . . but I don't think I'm going to find the time before tomorrow . . .

IV fire

Post by wreckless rick »

It will be difficult to have a fire on the beach on New years Day because the tide is too high. Tide will be in the 3 meter range (9'-0), leaving no beach at all during the day. I checked it out today, thats why we have so many floaties in the water.

I'm bringing extra tarp, hotdogs, chips, deeps and buns.

I drove by the water today and , man , what a mess! It's going to be interesting tomorrow with hight tide and all those "Jibe marks" in the water.

well that sucks, deserters of the 2nd annual

I do however have to agree that in order for this event to be successful we must sail.....and I ain't sailing in wicked shorebreak with logs and gybemarks all the way out.

Consequently I will confirm or someone could tell me about the beach situation tomorrow at IV?? There were a few small moving beach logs at Willows and hardly any beyond the first few feet of beach...so I am once again suggesting we go there instead.....also I would guess most of the sailing crew would probably benefit from the more benign conditions of Willows in 35-40 knots than IV. Watch the message board votes tomorrow :!: :!:
