kite events squamish 2005

just starting to throw dates out to get some feedback on kite events in squamish

first weekend june
third weekend july
last weekend august

be nice to have opener,mid-season and final

also to make dates now and stagger them with nitnat dates so almost every other weekend we are good times good people

any word is a good word?

hmmm, three events, hmmmmm...... WHOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! yea baby

the earlier the better, that way if it dosn't go off then the next weekend etc etc etc. Havin the three events also lets you really gage the improvement of the competition over the summer and for me a chance to work on them moves I see at the first event.

Here are some dates that work well with tides.

Squamish Kite gatherings-3 for 2005

1st opener-JUNE 4th 3.07 ft at 10:58 Rain days 18/19
5th 2.40 ft at 11:32

-These dates allow trainer kite sessions for beginners in light wind in am and fast flooding to allow advanced riders to hot dog during pm in higher winds

Mid season-July 23 1.22 ft at 1:43
24 2.61 ft at 2:28

-By this time we should see an increased number of riders and low tide all day will allow non-rushed launching and landing for all to enjoy

Season ender-August 27 HIGH all day
28 High all day

-Very few people learn at end of season so this is a good time for all who can upwind to strut their stuff with the arena area being it's deepest and largest.

well even though the rain sucked this year, I am in for next year for sure, was a blast just meetin everybody and checkin out new areas!!
