It's going to be a bit different this year given the recent proliferation of all you Nancy's buying luxo-surfmobile-sissy-barge vans.

hearing of specific dates, expected attires, planned menus, itineraries of any kind, lists/expectations, food allergies = recipe for disappointment
at the end of the day...be flexible...forecasts, transmissions, booze intake, fog of all kinds, Oregon's finest and worst, it all is part if the adventure...most of all have a buddy, medical coverage and a fully stocked sick bank for the "you know you want to..." Extra day or three...or ten  if you think you can handle it
Ps: this is wave sailing, windsurfing happens at the lake

I can't imagine what this would be like. 6.6 M waves and 30 knots!
Hope Trudy Lary gets some pictures of that. Yes, I've started checking the Coast forecasts already. :D Hoping to get a long weekend in before the main event at the end of June.

That's from Dana's blog, the webcam is at his neighbours house:
http://www.boardheadinternational.com/t ... e_....html

Gone are the days of no crowds at the cape and the excitement of first seeing the water as you make it over the hill. I'm against having webcams at windsurfing spots.

My Grandma used to say the same thing and it cost her a lot of perfect 4.7 days at the Cape stuck waiting for wind smashing back bud light at the Sea Star.

(Thanks for the link btw)

Grandma's gone, Seastar no longer has bomber burritos, 4.7 days are for girls...but the Cape is still there. For god's sake please remove that link. I predict a pre-emptive camera assault in June :x

(For those that will miss it the Grandma quote is an adaptation of a BWD reply to me earlier in the thread)

Hey,

new here....haha!

Could leave after mid June to Oregon/Nitinat/wherever?....weather dependent? Buying a van in the next month. Coast could be the maiden voyage...and I may even sail?
