A big thanks to the people who organized the acdc and the kiting event in Port Alberni, last weekend. I know there was a few who couldn't make it and plan to be at the kiting in Costume event this month.... Check out southportkiteboarding.ca for more details. Should be a fun one... Thank you, Ken and your cousin for helping out at the last minute with 'board support' on the beach at the ACDC finish line! I reallly appreciate your support. Twin City beer garden was pretty sweet in that breezy location on the concrete by the pier. Love that location...... good memories and plenty of discussion about future opportunities with weekly music and beer gardens there. The Young Professionals of Alberni Valley have a lot of cool ideas and vision for that space, including Shakespeare in the park/concerts bandshell and more wind/watersport events at Canal Beach. The Kiwanis are setting up a beach volleyball court and gazebo-type structure in the near future there.
The next kitingforkids event on Sat June 17 in Port Alberni should be fun!!

Hi Everyone, just a friendly reminder one week from Saturday is our next kiting for kids event.. kiting in Costume! for those that are registered thank you and for those thinking about it come on out and play!!! We have a rescue ski available during the hours of the event so no need to worry if your unsure of the launch or kiting in the harbor. This is the perfect time to check it out and realize the fun to be had here in the harbor!

For those that have registered and been out gathering pledges great work THANK YOU! we have reached over $3000 raised so far!

Good Morning from the sunny valley of Port Alberni. Next Saturday is our Kiting in Costume event for the kiting for kids fundraiser. We have a number or registrants but really hoping for more people to come out and play in the warm sunny alberni valley. Costumes of course are optional but we plan to have photographers out on the Pier and at the launch to publicize all those that have come out and supported not only our launch facility but the fundraiser as well through regular media and social media.
