$200 "I can't surf worth crap even with a lesson."

Post by skywalker »

Just how much should you ask for your banana yellow board? Surely that ‘custom’ paint job is worth a few coin. It also comes with three fins. Not one, three- Now you can land backflips! Did I mention they were interchangeable?

Christmas brings out the desperation in all of us.

I’ve seen some ridiculous used board ads. I may even have been behind a few. But this year we have a bumper crop of kookdom.

I give you the best of both Canadian coasts. Seriously, these are some real gems.

PRICES ARE FIRM!!#$!

For only $150 you too can ride a giant homemade used tampon

$325 "with tether" and a paintjob that says keanue reeves is your surfing inspiration.

"The board was $1200 new. Triple fin. The fins are removeable and can be changed depending on your riding style." Must be a steal at only $120 then.

Only $900 for a used surfboard? take my money

Surfboards have a right to a proper burial. Never do this

"If you want the ultimate, you gotta be willing to pay the ultimate price!" - Bodhi
The paint conceals the ~4 Sq ft of patched glass and rebuilt/filled foam.
I sold that board a couple years ago for a fraction of what they're asking, it changed hands a few times before ending up at the pawn shop (the price going up every time). At least they reduced their asking price, they had been asking $450...
The best part is the zebra print on the bottom!

I hope you did that paint job too Steve, 'cause that's a statement right there.

The first link, the tofino fish for $200, actually looks like a pretty decent board at a fair price. You could surf that in mushy tofino, and you could kite it as a light wind board.

Haha, sure did! The patchwork looked shitty (used cheap resin) and I had spent a hot day in the sun, huffing fumes (was doing a bunch of glass jobs) and drinking beer, seemed like a good idea at the time Image

If anyone wants a custom hex pattern or zebra print on their board let me know! [smilie=pimp.gif]
