Kite Kook's GearUp4CF Ride

Post by Kite Kook »

Hey guys,

Now that Morewind has done the Ride to Conquer Cancer (way to go!), I thought I would let folks know that I am trying to finish my fundraising for the GearUp4CF. I am 75% of the way to my goal, and I leave Friday!

This is a 1200KM ride from Vancouver to Banff that I am doing to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis research. My training for this ride is the biggest reason I have only had two sessions this year (and an injured knee).

If anyone wants to donate, please check out http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?re ... Pref=en-CA

Since the wind community was so incredibly generous during my Great Strides walk two years ago, I didn't want to burden anyone this time. No pressure for funds, good vibes are also very welcome!!

Many thanks,

Paul

Hey guys!

Thank you so much for the support - incredible!

I am *very* grateful for all of this, and really appreciate the support!

Yesterday was a tough day, but today was better and much more fun!

More importantly, I made my goal and together the riders and supporters of this ride have raised almost a quarter of a million dollars for CF research!

Anyone wanting to follow an occasional blog I have on the ride can check out www.paulgotlungs.com

Thanks guys,

Paul

Wow! I just read your blog entries for the last 3 days of riding. That is one tough challenge of a ride. Congrats on overcoming a series of tough situations :D
